Founded in 2002, AppLocation has focused on bringing innovative wireless and asset tracking location-based services to enterprise clients throughout North America. Combining superior platform technology with years of experience delivering operational cost saving solutions enables AppLocation to help their clients streamline internal processes and offer value add services to customers and suppliers.
The core group at AppLocation Systems has been together for over 10 years working in the wireless, location based services and tracking space. Our developers were part of the team that pioneered the first web interface displays of cellular handset positions in North America.

Gary Hartwig - President & CEO
Gary has over 20 years of senior management experience in the emergency management, software and wireless industries. As a founder of AppLocation, Gary often writes and speaks on location-based services, RFID real time asset and GPS vehicle tracking benefits. Prior to entering the wireless enterprise field, Gary was Director of the Forest Protection for the British Columbia Forest Service, one of the largest fire suppression and emergency response organizations in North America. As one of the key members of a re-engineering team, Gary helped to streamline the operations of this agency through organizational re-focusing and the implementation of technology. Gary has a unique perspective in the area of emergency management systems and their implementation as he has spent significant time as both a user and provider of dispatch and command and control systems.
This is Kevin's second venture after successfully launching and selling Bfound.com to SignalSoft Corp. in 2000. As Founder and VP of Development at Bfound.com, Kevin was responsible for product direction, application of new technologies, intellectual property, and technical due diligence.
Kevin continues with research in leading edge advances in Java, wireless and distributed systems architecture to put AppLocation solutions on the cutting edge of innovation. His expertise in understanding the basic nuances of GPS tracking, location-based services and real time active RFID for asset locating is the basis of the MOBILEFusion platform. Kevin has a Computer Engineering degree and over ten years of software development experience were he has specialized in distributed computing and server system architecture.
